Meet the Team:

Bryony Pickup

Bryony started dance at the age of 4 and took her grades in ballet, modern and tap at Emjay’s school of dance, competing in yearly festivals and competitions and qualifying to the All England Dance finals in London on four separate occasions. As well as dancing Bryony also did rhythmic gymnastics from the year 2000. Bryony followed dance and gymnastics throughout her education taking it as GCSE, A Level, BA HONS degree & then finally a Masters. While at university she competed at National Group Championships with the rest of her team at Rhythmic South and placed 1st, best in the country, in years 2010 & 2011. Bryony has worked for multiple events companies and has performed in nightclubs, holiday parks, festivals, as well as working in an illusion show for two years. Bryony started this company in 2018 when she wanted the chance to perform with her friends again!

Rebecca Clarke

Rebecca first got into gymnastics when she was five years old and joined a local artistic club, where she trained for three years, until the age of eight when she switched to rhythmic gymnastics. Becca competed in national competitions until she was seventeen, also performing in a variety of other shows along the way. She then went onto university to complete a degree in War, Conflict and Modernity at the University of Brighton. After moving back home to Southampton she re-connected with Bryony, where she was very excited to get involved with the team at Pickup Events.

Isabel Price

Isabel started artistic gymnastics as soon as she could walk. Joining gym tots at the age of three, she has always had a passion for movement. As she grew up she trained in artistic gymnastics and ballet until her mid-teens. At the age of 10 she also discovered rhythmic gymnastics and took this on as well. Having performed in many dance shows and gained many national and British championship medals Isabel has a drive to succeed and is a natural performer. Isabel brings her outgoing and unusual style to our routines. She has recently completed her BA honours degree in religion and theology (Well done!) and is extremely open minded to all walks (and dances) of life.

Chloe Webber

Chloe started rhythmic gymnastics at 8 years old, at an after school club. She had tried a few different artistic clubs but found her place at Rhythmic South. Throughout her time there she competed nationally and took part in numerous shows and performances. This gave her a passion for dance and gymnastic and lead to several national medals. Chloe went to Bournemouth Arts university and studied Photography where she achieved a high 2.1. Whist studying Chloe says she was ‘heavily influenced by gymnastics, dance and performance; showing the narrative through the body and it’s movement’. Chloe is extremely creative and an amazing addition to our team!

Melodie Webber

Melodie started gymnastics at the age of 10 and has always had an incredible amount of patience and perseverance. Competing nationally and performing at events every year she has fallen in love with dance and gymnastics. Melodie went on to take dance at A Level and after college spent some time travelling the world. On coming back to Southampton she decided to join Bryony in getting together to create performance work once again. Melodie is also in charge of the finances and makes sure to keep a cap on our spending! Melodie has excelled in teaching and working with kids as well as all of her experience in performance and gymnastics.
